Sam is a theatre director, writer and visual artist. She is currently artistic director of Hinterland Theatre and an associate artist of The Lyric Theatre Bridport. Previous work includes SYSTEMISED (Salisbury Arts Centre), DISCONNECT (New Red Studios), PAPER BIRD (Wiltshire Creative), PLEASE RETAIN FOR YOUR RECORDS (Merchants Hall Edinburgh + Hen & Chickens), INAUGURATION (Xikanda Arts Academy) and LA LUPE (Teatro Flumen + Teatro Inestable). As Assistant Director recent work includes A TASTE OF HONEY, ROMEO & JULIET (Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester), TWELFTH NIGHT and THE EFFECT (RADA). Awards and nominations include: London Pub Theatres Standing Ovation Nominee & Finalist 2025, Peter Cheeseman Directing Award 2024, Women in Innovation Purple Plaque 2021 and Pick of Pleasance 2001. As an actor her work includes leading roles in theatre (incl. National, Gate, Hampstead), film, television and radio. She is also an award winning sustainable materials designer and illustrator.
